You want to care for your skin, and as a board certified dermatologist, I want to be your trusted advisor in helping care for your skin.  I partner with all of my patients to provide customized treatments that consider everything important to them such as costs, desired clinical outcomes, time to achieve the results, etc.  I am a teacher at heart so I enjoy listening to patients, providing them insights, and translating the sometimes confusing lingo associated with various medical conditions and treatments.

Additionally, I learn from my patients daily.  An enjoyable part of the practice of dermatology is that skin conditions do not always follow a medical textbook.  The more years I spend in practice, the more I am convinced of the value of listening to patients and being willing to think outside the box when necessary.  

 

I chose dermatology as a specialty because it does not limit me to just certain ages or genders.  It does not limit me to one body system - skin conditions sometimes reveal illness originating in other parts of the body.  It allows me to see patients with a variety of problems - one patient may have severe acne, the next a debilitating skin rash, and the next a potentially deadly skin cancer.  No matter your age or gender, regardless of whether your concern is new or long-standing, mild or severe, a rash or a skin growth about which you are concerned, I am ready to partner with you as we care for your skin.
